For sale is a compact motorised and variable speed camera slider. Ideal for'on the road' this slider is a total length of 700mm and a weight of 3kg. These are designed and hand engineered in our local UK workshop.

These slider are custom made which allows for a certain amount of customisation, but in its basic. Configuration it is built with a high quality'low noise' geared DC motor with a gearing ratio of 148:1, which when combined with the variable speed voltage regulator gives a travel time, over its length of between 5 and 50 seconds. Please message me if you have a specific requirement. It can be powered with either a 12v AC/DC mains adaptor or a battery system of between 6 - 15 volts (12v li-ion system is recommended). It is supplied with a 9v PP3 battery holder with a standard 2.1mm barrel connector which connects to the slider's DC input. The slider is fitted with limit switches at either end which means that when the carriage reaches and triggers them the motor cuts out until the direction is reversed. A'no cost' option is to have a relay fitted, which means when the carriage activates the limit switch it automatically reverses the direction and will continue to'bounce' between the switches until switched off.

Please note in this case an on/off toggle switch is fitted in place of the direction switch. It comes complete with a high quality camera carriage plate with a 3/8 captive bolt.

The carriage itself is fitted with 3x delrin V slot wheels each with 2 bearings. The wheel on the single side has an'eccentric' spacer which can be adjusted to vary the amount of drag on the carriage, particularly useful when used in manual mode.
