Emco Unimat Sl Variable Speed DC Drive Motor Perfect Working Order Very Quiet

Hi and welcome to this listing. Up for sale a very good used Emco Unimat SL variable speed drive motor that is in good condition and in full working order. This is a good Emco spec variable speed. Drive motor and is believed to be from around 1990/91, it was fitted on one of my dad's old SL Unimats and he always said it was very handy.

It runs fine from a standard UK 220 / 240 volt household supply and it runs very well on all speeds. This motor is continuously rated and both motor and transformer run cool and whisper quiet!

The transformer puts out 0 - 18 volts DC so I assume that the motor is also 18 volts DC? There is a 2 step plastic drive pulley fitted to the motor by 1 very small straight head grub screw (you will need a very small terminal type straight screwdriver to remove and secure this pulley onto the motor) The motor itself has an 8mm dia drive shaft with a flat on one side. All in all, this variable drive is a superb bit of kit and is now up for sale as we no longer have the machine it came off. Please see all 12 photographs and study them carfully as they form a part of the description and they show the actual item that is for sale and the over all condition including any marks or imperfections it may have. This motor can also be seen running in the YouTube video below which shows this variable drive motor working. Unfortunately the name label is missing on this motor so I don't know the spec, except it is believed to be 18 volts DC as that is the max voltage output from the variable transformer that is with it.

I would say with it being an Emco spec item its most probably around 90 to 95 watts at full speed. Hence this motor is now no longer needed so it is now offered for sale and is ideal for someone who may need a replacement motor for their Unimat SL lathe or they fancy a nice variable speed unit to replace their tired old motor.. Please note that there is no Local Collection allowed due to me having to follow my mother's rules and keep her happy!
