Please note: This Belt Sander is setup for Single phase 110V standard USA current. It is therefore designed for domestic customers. Overseas customers and those who have access to 220V may prefer the VFD Power Unit for 220VAC. Unit can accept all above mentioned popular. Lengths and width between 1" and 2". As well as 72" long belts, however it is designed as a compact unit, therefore recommended for rather 60" long belts. This unique system is custom designed and build specifically for knife makers. It uses popular 1" - 2" wide grinding belts.

The Sanding Belt Surface Speed is about 5450 SFPM (Surface Speed Per Minute). Standard Features and what you are going to get.

Steel frame, mounted on a 1/4 thick steel base. The tracking arm with tension spring and 3 solid aluminum idle wheel. Tooling arm with 5th Generation Platen Attachment and Removable Platen Plate for a slack belt grinding.

Drive system assembly with 6 Aluminum Drive Wheel (Convex for better tracking). Tilt adjustable and removable Work Rest Table.

Size 10 x 6 and cut of 5/16 steel for Vertical Position grinding. Approximate Size 14 x 6 for Horizontal Position grinding.

Approximate arm-tightening positions are marked on the platen arm. The wheels are made of aluminum. More detailed info regarding wheels is available from my other listings.

The listing photos shows the sander with 60 long sanding belt. Please be aware that certain power needs to be applied when switching sander positions around. It is a full-featured, industrial quality, space saving, small footprint and compact unit. Each unit is build and assembled individually. It is not a result of mass production.

Based on the same design, it may however differ slightly in dimensions, color or finish. No unit will be sent without going through testing.

It will be put together, mounted on table, powered by the motor and run. At this stage adjustment will be done, to make sure that every part is working fine. Later on you may find it useful to make certain improvements, like perhaps spark trap, eye and V-belt shields, etc.

If you own a compressor I would also recommend blowing the dust off regularly in order to keep the work space nice and clean. Additions are possible like perhaps rubber contact wheel or small wheel attachment. Please ask questions if you need more information.
